Dr. Scott grew up in the suburbs of New York City and received her Bachelor of Science from Cornell University. She then went on to veterinary school at Purdue University. She’s excited to remain in the Midwest and join Companion!
Why did you decide to become a veterinarian?
I spent my first summer of college as an ecology intern at the Smithsonian’s research facility in Virginia. I realized I was more interested in working with the animals than my ecology work.
What are your special interests in the field of veterinary medicine?
I have a strong interest in behavior.
What is the most unusual pet you have helped treat?
I spent a week treating elephants at a sanctuary in Thailand.
What are some of your favorite activities outside of work?
Spending time with friends and my dog, trying new restaurants, and being outdoors.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
Not using a turn signal
