Dr. McCallick grew up in Northeastern Pennsylvania and obtained her Bachelor of Science from Delaware Valley University. She then continued her education at N.C. State College of Veterinary Medicine. She is excited to join the Companion Animal Hospital family and work together with pet parents to provide the best care for her patients!
What made you decide to become a veterinarian?
My second word was “horse!” I wanted to be a veterinarian since I was a little kid.
What are your special interests in the field of veterinary medicine?
Geriatric medicine and behavior.
What is the most unusual pet you have helped treat?
A jaguar that needed a root canal!
What are some of your favorite activities outside of work?
Cooking, cross stitching, and hiking with my dog, Kibbee!

Cracking knuckles

- I rode 100 miles on horseback unguided across Donegal Co., Ireland in 7 days!
