Katie

Katie has a bachelor’s degree in Zoology and Anthropology from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She has worked with a variety of animals, from rats to companion animals to monkeys in several different settings including research, animal clinics and field studies overseas. She’s also a certified crazy cat lady, or some would say anyway, and currently has 4 of her own. Katie would love to go to graduate school to study animal and environmental conservation, and will hopefully have that opportunity someday.

Her favorite part of working at Companion is the relationships the staff have with clients and their pets. They have so many long-time clients, and Katie enjoys getting to know them and their pets, to know their stories and form lasting bonds.

Katie has had many memorable moments with her fellow staff and their clients and patients, but the Open House was a highlight. She enjoyed helping the team prepare for the event and being a participant, as well has getting to show clients just how much we care about them and their pets.
